Designing an Immersive Experience at the Mitel Executive Partner Summit

One of the most rewarding parts of producing the Mitel Executive Partner Summit was seeing how every creative detail came together to create a cohesive and immersive attendee experience.

From the beginning, the vision for this event was to move beyond traditional corporate event design and create environments that felt dynamic, elevated, and intentionally connected from space to space. Working alongside the incredibly creative and visionary Meloni team gave us the opportunity to push that concept even further - especially through the use of AV and lighting as part of the décor itself.

Rather than treating audiovisual production as simply functional, we incorporated it directly into the event design. Throughout the general sessions, custom gobos featuring the Chicago skyline and Mitel branding became visual storytelling elements woven into the attendee experience. Rotating gobo transitions added movement and energy between sessions, helping the production feel polished while still playful and engaging.

Lighting became one of the defining elements of the event. We carried consistent LED details throughout nearly every environment, creating a unified look and feel across the summit. From uplighting and under-table lighting to sponsor signage and custom LED centerpieces, every detail was designed to tie back to Mitel’s color palette while allowing room to experiment with shape, texture, and color combinations in a modern way.

The opening evening, themed “A Taste of Chicago,” brought a completely different type of energy to the event. Guests were encouraged to wear their favorite team jerseys, which immediately sparked conversation, friendly rivalries, and authentic networking moments. It created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, interactive, and genuinely memorable from the moment attendees arrived.

To complement the theme, the evening featured Chicago-inspired food experiences including deep dish pizza, hot dogs, Garrett Popcorn, candied nuts, and salad bar elements that balanced local favorites with lighter options. The result was an experience that felt distinctly tied to the host city while still maintaining an elevated event atmosphere.

The following evening shifted into a more refined and elevated environment. Guests dressed up, the lighting design became bolder and more dramatic, and we had the opportunity to further play with layered linens and color combinations inspired by Mitel’s branding. The transformation between the two evenings helped create distinct experiences while still maintaining consistency across the overall event identity.

Another standout element was the curated golf experience, which added a luxury hospitality component and gave attendees additional opportunities to connect outside of the general sessions.

Events like this are always a reminder that the most impactful experiences are built through collaboration, creativity, and thoughtful execution. From the large-scale production moments to the smallest design details, every element worked together to create an event experience that felt intentional, immersive, and memorable for everyone involved.
